Fill out this snooper request form for non ODOT bridges next calendar year.  Requests will be received between now and December 15th.  All requests will be reviewed and prioritized by ODOT and CEAO (for county bridges) between December 15th and December 31 this year.  Only 40 non-ODOT bridges will be chosen on a case-by-case basis.  Keep in mind that the snooper truck is a permit vehicle so the bridge, the road and all bridges to the bridge, must have sufficient clearance and capacity.

Bridge Details

If Timber Deck or SIP Pans filled with asphalt then ensure the load rating includes the in-field deck capacity.
BR100 must be up-to-date and reflect infield condition. Pay particular attention to section loss in stringers of unpainted weathering steel bridges with timber or SIP with Asphalt decks.
Sometimes we have had to maneuver the wheel path around floor-system section loss
and the plan for safely utilizing the snooper
Please trim around the bucket flight path. We cannot touch tree branches, it can, and has caused an unsafe 'sling-shot' affect on the bucket and occupants
Indicate if we can work around them to gain access required or if you will ensure the tree/limb removal
We cannot get close to power lines for obvious reasons, it is unsafe for operators and occupants.
Fill in if 'other' was selected or a unique situation exists
If yes then you need 6-months lead time. If tracks are undeneath we will not goin the span with the RR tracks unless there is significant berth
Upload the latest BR100 that reflect infield condition including section loss to floorsystem. Include timber and SIP pans filled with asphalt into the load rating.
What does the sign say? Upload a copy of the BR100 below.

Inspection

How Will You Provide Access to the Bridge and How will Traffic Be Maintained While We are on the Bridge?

Sometimes the most direct route includes a dirt road, weight restricted road, weight restricted bridges, timber bridges, low clearance bridges, low clearance trees, steep grades and we cannot safely get to the bridge.
Look at the last Routine inspection date and then add the number of months. Please refer to the estimated time frame / district we typically perform inspections at the top. If this arrival time will be too late then please plan alternative access (snooper rental, climbing, mechanical-means etc)
